Five Ways Public Markets are Underrated

Public markets are often overlooked, but I am here to tell you about all the fun you are missing out on. So, without further ado, here are my five reasons why public markets are underrated:

  1. Affordable Items: You never know what you will find at a public market on any given day. The items vary from day-to-day, but one certainty is that there will be affordable items, which makes the mystery worth the journey.

You might come to the public market looking for some fresh produce and walk away with an antique record player. The best part of all is that often time’s the prices are negotiable. Just remember to bring cash. But if you forget, we have ATM machines to save the day.

  2. Every Day Appliances: Number two goes hand-in-hand with number one, so I guess it’s kind of like a 1b. If you are in need of every day appliances, such as paper plates, toilet paper, shampoo, medicine, etc. and don’t want to pay an arm and a leg to get these necessities, purchase them at the public market.

Vendors sell these products at an affordable price, so it’s a good way to save money and get your shopping out of the way. Not to mention, they also sell fresh produce, so you can get all your grocery shopping done in one trip to the public market!

  3. Good Food: I have seen a lot of “public market tips” videos encouraging people to bring their own food because the food at public markets are terrible, but I ensure you that is not the case at our public markets. At West Wind, we pride ourselves on the quality of our concessions and offer a wide variety for you to enjoy.

Not only do we offer the typical concession stand snacks, such as popcorn and candy, we also offer breakfast and lunch items. Don’t forget to stop by the food carts filled with delicious snacks for you to eat as you stroll through the public market.

So, don’t lose sleep waking up earlier to make yourself breakfast and instead eat at the public markets! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

  4. Events: Week days at the public markets may be mellow, but the weekends are another story! Virtually every weekend, local bands play live music, providing endless entertainment and a reason to relax after shopping hard.

Listening and dancing to local talent with your family is fun, but it doesn’t end there. Our public markets host plenty of family friendly events for everyone to enjoy. Take an ordinary day at the public to the next level by coming on the weekend for endless entertainment!

  5. The atmosphere: Last, but certainly not least, the atmosphere is vastly underrated. The people, the entertainment and the food make the public market a must visit attraction. We aim to ensure that our visitors have a unique and memorable experience every time they come.

We certainly hope to see you at one of our various public markets in the near future, so you can experience the many fun aspects of our public markets!
